Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Manager to lead civil construction activities on high-voltage substation EPC projects across Europe.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical energy infrastructure, taking ownership of site execution, subcontractor performance, construction quality and safe project delivery.
Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will ensure that civil works are completed efficiently and integrated with electrical installation and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination and execution of civil works, including earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete foundations and associated infrastructure.
- Manage subcontractors, site personnel, materials and plant resources, ensuring safe and efficient construction delivery.
- Coordinate with engineering, electrical and commissioning teams to manage construction interfaces and project dependencies.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, inspection requirements, HSE procedures and site regulations.
- Monitor construction progress, manage risks and provide regular reporting on milestones, productivity and subcontractor performance.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline, preferably supported by substantial site delivery experience.
- Good command of English, enabling effective communication across international and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Proven experience managing civil construction works in EPC, substation, energy infrastructure or complex industrial construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of earthworks, reinforced concrete, foundations, drainage, construction sequencing, technical specifications and quality procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead subcontractors, coordinate site operations and deliver construction programmes safely and effectively.
