UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology and Medical-Surgical Unit.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

 

Our Cardiology and Medical-Surgical unit (4SE) is a 28 tele bed unit that provides care for cardiology and cardiac post-op patients, post electrophysiology and interventional radiology procedure patients, and med-surg/telemetry patients. The unit’s priority is post-cardiac procedure patients, which includes femoral sheath monitoring and pulls and IV drug infusions.  The unit cares for post-op patients as space allows and treats a diverse medical-surgical patient population, offering excellent learning opportunities.

• Provide long and short-term care to cardiac patients
• Work in a dynamic team environment
  

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Provide acute patient care
• Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with team members
• Follow evidence-based nursing practices
• Monitor and administer medications and IVs

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

• At least 1 year of current/recent acute care med-surg nursing experience; may consider residency RN
• Licensed to work as an RN in the State of Washington
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$46.97 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$86.17 hourly

Other Compensation:

BSN (or higher degree) Premium - $1.00/hour ; Certification (Specialty Certs) Premium - $1.25/hour Night Shift Premium - $5.00/hour; Evening Shift Premium - $3.00/hour Weekend Shift Premium - $4.00/hour; Sunday Night Premium - $3.00/hour Overtime Pay Overtime Pay $5000 Relocation Assistance (for eligible new employees)
