What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you'll:
- Develop and execute a growth plan for the critical infrastructure and data center market
- Identify and pursue new business through cold outreach, networking, and industry engagement
- Build relationships with consulting and design engineers, EPC and general contractors, developers, and operators
- Engage early in the design phase to position Schebler products as basis of design
- Support engine, generator, and standby power exhaust applications
- Manage national and multi-site accounts, coordinating with our regional Strategic Account Managers
- Build and manage an active pipeline of leads, quotes, project stages, and expected close dates
- Partner with engineering on technical discussions, product applications, and solutions
- Track market, competitor, and construction activity to spot new opportunities
- Represent Schebler at trade shows, industry events, and customer training sessions
What Success Looks Like
- Hitting revenue and margin targets for the critical infrastructure market
- A healthy, growing pipeline with consistent opportunity flow
- More early-stage specifications with consulting engineers and decision-makers
- A stronger Schebler presence in mission-critical construction
What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years of outside sales, technical sales, or business development experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or a related industry
- Experience selling into data centers, mission-critical facilities, standby power, or other critical infrastructure markets strongly preferred
- Experience calling on consulting engineers, EPC firms, or national accounts preferred
- Experience managing a national or multi-state territory and working remotely preferred
- Ability to manage long sales cycles with multiple decision-makers
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with the ability to explain technical products to technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's degree in business or engineering preferred
- Ability to travel up to 60%, including regular overnight and out-of-state travel
Technical Skills
- Strong organization, planning, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with AutoCAD Mechanical is a plus
