A growing family in Palo Alto is seeking an educational 24/7 ROTA nanny (live-in only during the on weeks). They have an almost 2-year-old and a baby due in November (the baby will have a dedicated NCS for the first 6 months). The nanny will work collaboratively mom who is a stay-at-home parent. Their ideal candidate has extensive experience working in UHNW, multi-staffed homes and a genuine passion for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children.
Responsibilities include planning local outings and educational activities, preparing healthy kid-friendly meals, children's laundry and light tidying. Someone with an upbeat, easygoing energy will be the best fit. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, adaptable nanny seeking longevity.
Travel: The family takes a 7-day trip once a year (usually domestic), plus occasional long weekends for local travel.
Experience Requirements
- 5 years minimum experience working as a private nanny working in UHNW homes with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Mandarin-speaking (nice to have, not required)
Qualifications
- Only candidates local to the Bay Area will be considered
- COVID-vaccinated + keeping current on booster
- TB and Tdap (annual flu also preferred but not required)
- CPR Certified
- Valid driver with clean record (shared household vehicle usually available)
- Comfortable working alongside stay-at-home mom + extended family present (one grandparent)
- Must have prior experience working in UHNW multi-stffed homes

Responsibilities
- 24/7 childcare
- There will be a 24/7 NCS on site for 6 months after the baby arrives
- Work alongside mom in caring for the children
- Planning development-focused activities while balancing play and education
- Driving to/from activities
- Provide a nurturing and educational environment
- Prepare breakfast and weekend meals
- Light housekeeping (tidying the nurseries and play areas; cleaning kitchen after meals; etc.)
