Nuffield Health Oxford Hospital | Nursing | Permanent | Full time

37.5 Hours per week

Salary - Competitive

Nuffield Health is the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity. From our innovative healthcare and leisure facilities to our  community access programmes, we’re committed to building a healthier nation. Inside our award-winning hospitals, this starts with commitment to quality and the highest standards of patient care. It starts with you.

As a Endometriosis Clinical Nurse Specialist in our hospital, you’ll be attentive, focused, detail-oriented and empathetic. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. With post-registration experience, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

As a Endometriosis Nurse Specialist, you will:

  • Act as a key worker for women with suspected or confirmed endometriosis, providing specialist advice, support and care throughout their patient journey.
  • Undertake clinical assessment, holistic care planning and ongoing management within your scope of practice.
  • Coordinate care across the multidisciplinary team, including gynaecology, radiology, colorectal surgery, urology, fertility and pain management services.
  • Support and educate patients and their families, ensuring informed decision-making and a positive patient experience.
  • Participate in Endometriosis Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, contributing to the discussion and management of complex cases.
  • Develop and maintain effective patient pathways to ensure timely access to investigations, treatment and follow-up care.
  • Contribute to clinical audit, outcome monitoring, quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses and allied healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Support the ongoing development of the Endometriosis Service, helping drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the organisation's ambition to achieve and maintain accreditation as a BSGE Endometriosis Centre through active involvement in service development, quality assurance and multidisciplinary working.

What you'll bring

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Experience within gynaecology, women's health or a related clinical specialty.
  • Specialist knowledge of endometriosis is desirable, although development will be supported for the right candidate.
  • Excellent communication, counselling, education and patient advocacy skills.
  • Ability to undertake clinical assessment and develop autonomous practice within an agreed scope.
  • Understanding of clinical governance, audit and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • A passion for improving outcomes for women with endometriosis and supporting the development of a specialist service.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and contributing to the development of a service aligned with BSGE standards.
