Logistics Operator | Tanner, AL

Pay: $18.50/hour
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 10:30 PM–6:30 AM

Job Impulse is hiring a Logistics Operator in Tanner, AL, for a leading manufacturer of lightweight aluminum die-cast structural and powertrain components. This position involves operating a forklift or tugger, loading and unloading materials, supporting production operations, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift or tugger safely to move materials throughout the facility.

• Load and unload aluminum castings from CNC and assembly machines.

• Monitor machine output to ensure parts meet quality specifications.

• Perform quality checks on finished products.

• Straighten and polish aluminum castings using pneumatic equipment and hand tools as needed.

• Assist with equipment setups, changeovers, and preventive maintenance after training.

• Identify and report damaged materials, shortages, and other deficiencies to the Logistics Manager.

• Follow all safety procedures, 5S standards, and quality guidelines.

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and work effectively with team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 2 years of forklift or tugger operating experience.

• At least 1 year of continuous work experience in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environments, or equivalent military experience.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Good hand-eye coordination.

• Ability to work well in a team environment.

• Commitment to safe equipment operation and workplace procedures.

• Ability to work the scheduled overnight shift.
