Position Overview
Diaconia seeks a versatile Systems Analyst to support a federal client’s application development and IT operations program. This role is suited to a hands-on technical generalist with experience across multiple areas who enjoys supporting application development, system and database administration, Help Desk services, DevOps, and security operations. Working with the program’s technical leads, the analyst will help maintain reliable applications and supporting environments, coordinate software releases, and resolve user issues.
Responsibilities span requirements documentation, testing and implementation, release coordination, environment monitoring and patching, data administration, and security Assessment and Authorization documentation. We are looking for someone who learns new tools quickly, communicates clearly, and can shift between technical tasks as program needs change.
Key Responsibilities
• Triage support tickets, assess ticket complexity, document issues, and route requests for resolution while augmenting Help Desk operations following cross-training.
• Provide release management oversight by managing new release builds, creating release work item lists, identifying and managing database updates and scheduled task installations in the Test and Production environments, and participating in and coordinating issue resolution for releases.
• Assist with application requirements documentation, testing, implementation, and day-to-day user support.
• Support application data migration, data administration, user documentation, and application training, as assigned.
• Assist with monitoring, configuration, patching, and security Assessment and Authorization documentation for program environments under technical supervision.
• Support transition-in and transition-out activities, including assigned onboarding, documentation, and knowledge-transfer tasks.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of an Associate’s degree or related experience.
• Some experience with database and system administration.
• Excellent oral communication and writing skills.
• Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Quick learner with an eagerness to learn new IT functions.
• Experience in at least two of the following areas: training; security Assessment and Authorization process; Oracle or SQL Server administration; Windows administration; Azure environment; user support; technical writing.
• Secret clearance preferred at time of hire. Can start with interim Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.
• 2 days onsite Washington DC site
Preferred Qualifications
• CompTIA A+ certification.
• Microsoft Windows Server administration certification.
• DevOps certification.
