ABOUT THE ROLE
We are searching for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager for a Forbes luxury hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a hands-on operational leadership role supporting the day-to-day management of the hotel's F&B; operation across restaurants, in-room dining, banquets, and stewarding. This is a hands-on operational leadership role supporting the day-to-day management of the hotel's F&B; operation across restaurants, in-room dining, banquets, and stewarding. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, in-room dining, banquets, or stewarding as assigned
- Ensure guests receive an exceptional level of service consistent with Forbes Five-Star luxury standards
- Schedule staff and complete payroll records in line with budgeted guidelines
- Lead, coach, train, and motivate F&B team members, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of excellence
- Interview, select, and evaluate team members; handle performance management and discipline as required
- Maintain a visible, guest-facing presence on the floor, building relationships with regular guests and cultivating new ones
- Oversee purchasing, inventories, and cost controls in support of the division's financial targets
- Utilise the hotel's F&B; systems for sales, checks, end-of-day revenue reporting, and operational records
WHAT YOU BRING
- 1 to 2 years of Food and Beverage management experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment
- Experience in in-room dining or restaurant operations is preferred
- Solid knowledge of F&B: service, cost control, labour management, and menu development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in hotel F&B systems
- Flexible availability to meet operational demands including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Forbes experience is a strong advantage
- Valid US work authorization required - visa sponsorship is not available
