Engineering Excellence Lead

As our Engineering Lead, Manufacturing Excellence Program (MEP), you will play a critical role in ensuring the right engineering capabilities, standards, and solutions are deployed across a dynamic transformation program. Working closely with value streams, engineering teams, and senior stakeholders, you'll provide technical leadership, drive operational excellence, and help deliver scalable, sustainable outcomes that strengthen Resmed's competitive advantage for years to come.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate engineering requirements across multiple value streams, ensuring the right expertise is deployed at the right time.
• Provide technical direction and align engineering priorities to deliver transformative and globally scalable solutions.
• Partner with value stream owners and cross-functional stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and define future-state operating models.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, structured problem-solving, change management, and program governance practices.
• Champion the adoption of digital tools, manufacturing systems, automation, process standardisation, and data-driven decision making.
• Establish performance metrics, governance frameworks, and benefits tracking to measure transformation success and sustain outcomes.
• Ensure initiatives support medical device manufacturing requirements, including quality systems, validation, process control, traceability, and regulatory expectations.
• Influence senior leaders and key stakeholders to build alignment, remove barriers, and accelerate progress across complex programs.
• Develop transformation capability within engineering and operations teams through coaching, facilitation, and knowledge sharing.
• Manage interdependencies, risks, and priorities to ensure successful delivery across a fast-paced transformation environment.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven background leading transformation initiatives within manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, operations, or other regulated environments.
• Engineering leadership capability with success guiding technical teams and delivering results through others.
• Demonstrated achievements improving productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, or organizational effectiveness through cross-functional change programs.
• Knowledge of medical device manufacturing or highly regulated industries, including quality management systems, validation requirements, process controls, documentation, and compliance.
• Understanding of operational excellence, Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, change management, and program management methodologies.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives from concept through implementation and long-term sustainment.
• Data-driven approach to identifying opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, tracking benefits, and supporting executive decision-making.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

Preferred Background:

• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or change management certification.
• Exposure to large-scale manufacturing transformation programs across multiple sites.

• Engineering leadership: Provides clear technical direction, builds engineering capability, makes sound trade-off decisions, and creates alignment across engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Influencing and stakeholder management: Builds alignment across senior leaders, functional teams, and delivery groups; communicates effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
