Group/Division
The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) division delivers industry-leading metrology solutions essential to advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Its portfolio includes systems for measuring film thickness, critical dimensions, composition, and resistivity—key to developing and scaling next-gen IC processes. FaST partners closely with customers from early R&D through high-volume production, ensuring performance and process alignment.What You'll Do
In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify new and existing software products and features through functional, regression, performance, reliability, and system-level testing.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and validation strategies to ensure high product quality.
- Analyze test results and publish qualification reports, recommendations, training materials, and Best Known Methods (BKMs).
- Collaborate with Algorithm, System Engineering, Applications Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Customer Support teams across global locations.
- Assess automation feasibility and develop automated test solutions, frameworks, and tools to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design reviews, deployment, troubleshooting, and customer support.
AI & Innovation Responsibilities
- Leverage Generative AI and AI-powered tools to improve test design, execution, defect analysis, reporting, and documentation.
- Develop AI-enabled utilities, applications, and productivity tools for engineering and quality workflows.
- Explore and implement solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and modern AI frameworks.
- Drive AI adoption within the SQE organization by identifying, prototyping, and deploying high-impact use cases.
- Utilize AI and data analytics techniques to improve quality insights, root cause analysis, and engineering productivity.
Desired Skills
- Strong programming skills in Python, C#, C++, or Java.
- Experience with software testing, automation frameworks, and quality engineering methodologies.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts, Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, AI agents, or AI application development is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Additional Requirements
- Represent SQE in product lifecycle reviews, key program meetings, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Willingness to travel to customer fabrication facilities for use-case understanding, software deployment, and troubleshooting support as required.

Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
