- DESCRIPTION
- General Function: Assists the surgical team during Operative procedures to provide quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists in preparing the Operating Room or Endoscopy suite with necessary equipment, supplies, suture. Provide care to infants, children, adolescent’s adults and geriatric patients.
- POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
- Educational Requirements:
- High School Education
- Maintains valid Louisiana LPN license (if applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience Requirements:
- Surgical Technician/GI lab Technician certified or comparable training/experience preferred
- Accredited school or 1year surgical scrub/GI lab experience preferred
- Special Requirements:
- Oral and written communication skills
- Legible handwriting
- Basic computer skills

- Exposure to blood, sharp instruments and other devices, body fluids and tissue, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, hazardous material and repetitive motions
