Description
Assistant Program Manager
Help Drive Mission‑Critical Aerospace Programs
KMM builds the electrical systems that keep aircraft, spacecraft, and advanced defense platforms connected and operational. As an Assistant Program Manager, you'll help steer high‑stakes manufacturing programs from kickoff through delivery-protecting schedule, cost, quality, and customer confidence across complex wire‑harness and chassis/panel builds for customers such as The Boeing Company.
This is a role where precision matters, urgency is real, and your work directly supports programs that cannot miss.
What You'll Do
-
Coordinate execution across Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to keep builds moving and issues visible.
-
Track cost and schedule performance, monitor production metrics, and maintain line‑of‑balance charts-flagging risks before they become delays.
-
Prepare program documentation, meeting materials, dashboards, and weekly/monthly status reports that keep leadership and customers aligned.
-
Support corrective actions, root‑cause investigations, PRAs, and Lean/CIP activities that strengthen performance and reduce waste.
-
Help maintain compliance with AS9100 and IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 requirements through disciplined documentation and controlled processes.
-
Assist customer communication, helping prepare updates, review materials, and clear summaries that reinforce trust and transparency.
What You Bring
-
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret production data, trends, and performance signals.
-
Excellent communication skills-clear writing, crisp updates, and confident coordination across teams.
-
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
-
Proficiency with Excel/Office, ERP/MRP systems, and program dashboards.
-
Customer‑focused judgment and comfort escalating issues with facts, clarity, and professionalism.
If you're ready to help drive programs where accuracy and accountability matter, we'd like to meet you.
Your Daily Flight Plan
Your day begins with a quick review of program dashboards and shop‑floor signals to confirm how production is trending and where attention is needed. Priorities come into focus fast, and you move into targeted check‑ins that align teams and surface what matters most.
As builds progress, you translate real‑time updates into clean charts, crisp notes, and clear communication that keeps everyone synchronized. Between meetings, you refine program documentation, prepare customer‑facing summaries, and help turn open questions into decisions.
When something shifts, you rally the right people, capture what changed, and help restore the path forward with clarity and urgency. Some weeks include travel to another KMM site-same mission, new vantage point, and a wider view of how our programs come together across locations.
