Description

The Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) is a dedicated museum that showcases the exquisite artefacts from Palace Museum’s collections and collaborates with other museums in research, exhibitions, education and public programmes.  The museum comprises 7 800 square metres of gallery space for standing and special exhibitions on Palace Museum’s collections of paintings, calligraphy, antiquities and historical objects, as well as thematic displays on world cultures and civilisations. 


(This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.)

You will be responsible for:

  • assisting in exploring cultural exchange and collaboration opportunities, both locally and outside Hong Kong, to promote HKPM’s vision and mission;
  • providing support in the planning, development, coordination and execution of a broad range of cultural exchange events and activities with museums, cultural institutions and non-government organisations locally and internationally;
  • providing daily administrative support to the team and maintaining proper documentation records;
  • creating PowerPoint slides for the presentation in various internal or committee meetings;
  • coordinating VIP visits for local/overseas/mainland guests and delegations; and
  • performing any duties from time to time as reasonably as assigned by HKPM.

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, Cultural Studies, or equivalent;
  • have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience, in an art, cultural, educational institution or other large organisations;
  • have strong administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail;
  • have strong project management and problem-solving skills; be highly organised, reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently;
  • have excellent skills of working with Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • have experience in supporting budget, procurement and contract management;
  • be a fast learner with good working attitude and able to work cooperatively with others, and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
