The Role

Role:- Networker Backup Administrator – L2

Location : Mumbai

• Should have very good working knowledge on EMC DELL Networker
• Perform Networker Backup and Restore activities for Windows and Unix Servers
• Installation, up-gradation, and troubleshooting of Networker on windows and Unix Platform
• Provide L1 and L2 Support on Networker related activities.
• Co-ordinate with OEM for any L3 support requirement by logging Support Case and Follow up for closure.
• Perform Networker parameter setting / Hardening as per Technical Specification
• Add / Register / Modify / Remove Networker client software in client system
• Installation of Networker Patches and fixes as per Change Management
• Configuration of Backup Tape Libraries in Networker for Backups.
• Working knowledge of resolution of identified Networker Vulnerabilities
• Perform Backup Job Management with Backup Scheduling for optimum utilization of backup resources
• Performance Networker Monitoring and Management of performance Tuning
• Prepare backup Report on Daily basis with required information and publish accurately
• Working knowledge on other Backup management tool like Symantec Netbackup/ Backupexec, Veem etc. will be added advantage
• Fair knowledge on diagnosing and fixing Networker related issues by analyzing Networker Logs
• Maintain Backup / Restore Logs for Audit purpose at any time.
• Networker Security Management by Networker hardening, Patch Management, Vulnerability fixing
• Ability to work under work timeline pressure
• Fair knowledge on ITIL process and Practices
• Knowledge on SAN / NAS storage management will have added advantage
• Should have good knowledge on Tape Media Management.

Minimum Requirement:

• Minimum 6 Years of Work Experience with 4 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma Engineering
• Ready to provide 24X7 Support
• Good verbal and written communication Skills in English

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 implementation and management
• VMware ESX experience
• Public/private cloud management. Especially migration from onprem to cloud solution

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Automation experience, especially IaaS (infrastructure as a code)
• Vulnerability management
• Microsoft Active Directory and federation services
