Job Description:We are on the lookout for an ASIC Design Engineer with not only exceptional technical skills but also a great personality and the ability to thrive within a team. This role is integral to designing and enhancing analog and mixed-signal circuits, focusing on achieving the best in power efficiency, spatial optimization, and overall performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in ASIC design, a commitment to innovation, and a collaborative spirit that enhances our team dynamics.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Candidates with Master's or Ph.D. degrees will have an advantage.- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in ASIC design and development, showcasing a track record of technical excellence.- Expertise in using Synopsys Custom Design Family tools (Virtuoso, PrimeSim, Spectre, AMS Designer) is essential.- A solid foundation in industry-standard design practices and advanced CMOS design.- Proficiency with SPICE simulators, Verilog-A, and programming languages such as TCL, Perl, C, Python, and MATLAB.- Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented approach.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.Responsibilities:- Lead the design and optimization of analog and mixed-signal circuits, ensuring they meet or exceed project goals.- Skillfully use Synopsys Custom Design Family tools to design and verify circuits, adhering to industry best practices.- Manage the physical layout process to minimize parasitic effects and maximize performance.- Analyze and interpret simulation data, delivering clear and impactful presentations to team members and stakeholders.- Act as a mentor to junior engineers, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.- Document all aspects of design and testing procedures meticulously.Desired Skills and Attributes:- A proactive problem-solver with excellent analytical capabilities.- Strong interpersonal skills, with a knack for building relationships and working effectively within a team.- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to inspire others.- Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of guiding team members and managing projects with a collaborative approach.Employment Details:- Full-time position- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, standard daytime hoursLocation Requirements:- The role is based in Vancouver, BC V6B 1C8.
