Job Description – Process Engineer
Location: Houston, TX
Employment Type: Direct Hire
The Process Engineer will support the design and execution of complex energy and industrial process facilities. This individual will be responsible for process design development, system optimization, and technical support throughout engineering, construction, and startup phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review process design deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and process narratives
- Perform process simulations, calculations, and system evaluations
- Support equipment sizing and specification in coordination with mechanical, rotating, and electrical teams
- Participate in HAZOPs, safety reviews, and design risk assessments
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and startup activities
- Interface with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with design intent
- Support troubleshooting and optimization of process systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in process engineering for large industrial, energy, or chemical facilities
- Strong experience with process modeling, PFDs, and P&IDs
- Experience supporting projects through execution and startup preferred
- Knowledge of process safety practices and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
