Veterinary Assistant Overnight

VCA Family & Oahu Veterinary Specialty Center is a 24 hour hybrid hospital in BEAUTIFUL Hawai’i!! We have an AMAZING openings for a Veterinary Assistant with our Overnight Team!

Compensation: $ 24 - $ 35 / hour

Location : 98-1254 Kaʻahumanu St, Pearl City, HI 96782

Schedule : FT Overnights

• 4-10 hour shifts

Ideal candidate:

* 2 years’ experience in a veterinary hospital setting

* Full-time with flexible availability.

* Able to multi-tasking in a busy environment

* Able to provide excellent client service

* Passionate about patient care

* Team oriented

Skills: Proficient and/or willing to learn

* IV catheter placement and venipuncture

* Anesthesia monitoring and recover

* Set up and assist with procedures

*Appointment management: obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoice and patient discharge, prepare and dispense prescriptions, and educate clients.

Physical Requirements: • Dependable attendance is required. • Any allergies to animals must be controllable through medication. • Must be able to lift 40 pounds. • Must be willing to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditions. • This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-10 hour day. •
