Role Summary

The Maintenance Superintendent has overall responsibility for administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and maintenance processes. The role also includes the continuous identification of systemic equipment failures, comprehensive reviews of current maintenance strategies from a Borr procedural perspective and evolving maintenance practices.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the role will be a focal point for all aspects of the CMMS. The position will liaise with technical subject matter experts to define maintenance requirements and supervise periodic auditing to ensure compliance with the Borr Management System (BMS) requirements whilst supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Structure CMMS to optimize maintenance administration by end users:

o Equipment hierarchy

o Standard jobs

o Job programs

o Scheduling

o Measurements

• Basic data governance of CMMS, e.g. naming conventions, equipment class and type, technical characteristics, measurements.
• Responsible for maintenance documentation and records control, e.g. maintenance checklists, maintenance registers, maintenance forms and templates.
• Implement and monitor maintenance KPIs.
• Oversight of supplementary maintenance systems from third parties, e.g. oil sample analysis, inspections.
• Responsible for maintenance change request processing, and monitoring status of:

o Equipment

o Standard jobs

o Standard job scheduling (calendar, criteria, and event based)

o Rig operating mode changes (stacked)

o Miscellaneous changes (criticality, maintenance strategy,

technical coding)

• Liaison with Subject Matter Experts for technical input on maintenance change requests.
• Oversite of actions taken/corrective work orders in the CMMS as part of alerts, advisories and bulletins process.
• Liaise with relevant internal and external parties to ensure the spare parts criticality analyses are completed and fit for purpose.
• Responsible for desktop auditing of CMMS for compliance with company expectations.
• Complete Rig CMMS build when required, optimizing CMMS structure to minimize build schedule.
• Responsible for training company personnel in CMMS, including development of training material (presentations, user manual, video library).
• Support auditing activities by second and third parties, e.g. client.
• Responsible for troubleshooting CMMS issues for maintenance, including organizing required support from CMMS vendor and IT.
• Drive continuous improvement of the CMMS.
• Liaise directly with CMMS vendor as directed to mitigate issues and determine improvement ultimately for the end-users.
• Responsible for determination of trends within the CMMS administrative aspect.
• Analyse equipment failure data and provide mitigations where practicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Engineering OR vocational qualification in technical area preferred.
• Member of professional body, or qualification, e.g. Institute of Asset Management (IAM), or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred but not essential.
• Administration and/or End User of CMMS.
• Experience of maintaining equipment associated with a MODU – desirable but not essential.
• Working knowledge of equipment and systems on drilling rigs – desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of analysis of asset and maintenance data.
• Knowledge of maintenance management, preferably of drilling rigs.
• Possess strong personnel and administrative skills.
• Ability to liaise with drilling rigs’ technical teams and rig management teams.
• Ability to liaise effectively with external parties (client, OEM, vendors, regulators etc).
• High levels of self-motivation with the ability to work under pressure and outside of normal working hours.
