The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an experienced Platform Integration Lead, Senior to support mission platform integration and digital systems engineering across the Indo-Pacific. The Platform Integration Lead, Senior serves as CACI's senior systems engineering professional responsible for integrating operational platforms, mission systems, communications technologies, logistics applications, and digital capabilities that enable Special Operations Forces (SOF) mission execution across air, land, maritime, and expeditionary environments. Reporting directly to the Mission Enabling and Training Lead, this position ensures mission platforms and supporting technologies are interoperable, secure, and capable of supporting distributed and contested operations.

The Platform Integration Lead works closely with Government stakeholders, systems engineers, software developers, logistics planners, communications engineers, cybersecurity personnel, platform operators, commercial technology partners, and mission partners to integrate hardware, software, communications, sensor technologies, and command and control capabilities into mission platforms. This position contributes to successful program execution by accelerating technology integration, improving operational interoperability, and delivering resilient mission capabilities throughout the Indo-Pacific theater.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead systems integration efforts supporting mission platforms utilized for logistics, training, operational support, and contingency operations.

  • Integrate hardware, software, communications, networking, sensor, navigation, tracking, and mission management systems into operational platforms.

  • Develop systems integration strategies, interface control documentation, technical architectures, and engineering implementation plans.

  • Coordinate integration activities across software development, communications, cybersecurity, logistics, engineering, and operational support teams.

  • Ensure interoperability between Government systems, commercial technologies, mission applications, and command and control environments.

  • Conduct systems engineering analyses, requirements development, trade studies, integration testing, and technical risk assessments.

  • Support technology demonstrations, prototype evaluations, operational experimentation, and rapid capability insertion initiatives.

  • Coordinate installation, configuration, testing, validation, and fielding of integrated platform capabilities.

  • Ensure integrated systems comply with cybersecurity requirements, interoperability standards, and Government technical specifications.

  • Develop technical reports, systems documentation, integration plans, executive-level briefings, and engineering recommendations.

  • Support lifecycle management, technology refresh planning, software upgrades, and platform modernization initiatives.

  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues involving hardware, software, communications, networking, and mission systems.

  • Mentor engineering personnel while promoting systems engineering best practices and continuous improvement.

  • Support contingency operations and emergent mission requirements requiring rapid technology integration and deployment.

  • Foster collaboration among Government organizations, commercial partners, and engineering teams to deliver mission-ready platform capabilities.

• Manage and supervise platform integration and engineering personnel, including assignment of work, prioritization of tasks, and day-to-day oversight of team performance.

• Plan and allocate personnel, technical resources, and integration support across geographically dispersed mission requirements to meet program priorities and operational timelines.

Establish performance expectations; provide coaching, mentoring, feedback, and professional development to engineering and technical staff; and address performance issues through appropriate corrective actions.

Monitor team schedules, technical quality, integration milestones, deliverables, and contract performance; identify variances and implement recovery or corrective-action plans.

• Manage technical, programmatic, schedule, and integration risks; elevate critical issues to program leadership and Government stakeholders with recommended mitigation strategies.

• Lead cross-functional coordination among systems engineering, software, communications, cybersecurity, logistics, and operational teams to ensure accountability for mission-ready platform capabilities.

• Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, customer responsiveness, and operational readiness across the platform integration team.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting systems engineering, software integration, platform integration, systems architecture, or information technology engineering for Government or Department of Defense programs.

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Joint, Combatant Command, Service Component, Special Operations organizations, or Intelligence Community activities.

  • Experience integrating hardware, software, communications, networking, sensors, and mission systems into operational platforms.

  • Experience supporting systems engineering lifecycle activities including requirements development, systems design, integration, verification, validation, and deployment.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams supporting complex technology integration efforts.

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and brief senior Government leadership on systems integration strategies, technical risks, architecture decisions, and engineering solutions.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering principles, enterprise integration, network architectures, and digital transformation initiatives.

Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

  • Master’s degree in systems engineering, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is highly desirable.

  • Experience supporting USSOCOM, SOCPAC, Geographic Combatant Commands, Joint Task Forces, or Special Operations organizations.

  • Experience supporting platform integration across contested logistics, mission support, command and control, autonomous systems, expeditionary communications, or multidomain operations.

  • Experience utilizing Cameo Systems Modeler, DOORS, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, VMware, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based engineering and collaboration environments.

  • Experience integrating tactical communications, SATCOM, mission command systems, GPS/GNSS technologies, ISR sensors, ATAK/WinTAK, and logistics information systems is highly desirable.

  • Professional certifications such as INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Project Management Professional (PMP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Security+, or equivalent engineering and IT certifications are preferred.

  • Experience integrating mission systems and operational platforms within TS/SCI environments supporting Special Operations Forces, contested logistics, and Indo-Pacific operations is highly desirable.
