As a Medical Staffing Officer, you will have full autonomy and accountability for the end-to-end Consultant and Resident Medical Officer (RMO) relationship and stakeholder management with ownership of the Medical Director’s Office standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role will develop and deliver exceptional engagement and service to strengthen practice privileges with all Consultants and support our RMOs with a view to contributing to commercial and service goals. 

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • Work in close partnership with the Consultant Development Team to rapidly engage, on-board and support a designated cohort of consultants for the duration of their time at the Cromwell in the development of our Clinical Strategy.
  • Work with the Medical Director, Lead RMOs and Modern Matrons to develop a Consultant/RMO engagement strategy, with agreed performance objectives
  • Work with the Lead RMOs to attract, onboard and retain RMO staff to stabilise the RMO workforce and eliminate agency spend.
  • Day to day oversight of Consultant and RMO rotas to ensure successful delivery of clinical strategy.
  • Regular face to face meetings and ongoing phone/email contact with Consultants  will be expected to build ongoing relations and encourage long-term commitment to the Hospital.
  • Ongoing support for a cohort of designated Consultants and recruitment and support to Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Be audit ready and ensure all recommendations are actioned for continuous improvement.
  • Working with a specified cohort of consultants and or RMOs to ensure all documents are in date to maintain practicing privileges. This includes Disclosure and Barring (DBS) documentation, Occupational Health Clearance, Indemnity, ICO membership, References, Appraisal, Statutory and Mandatory Training, Recognition by major insurance companies.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Experience in Medical Staffing PA/Executive or Service Delivery within Private Healthcare
  • Experience with Stakeholder management
  • Proven administration experience with continuous improvement
  • Experience with Auditing
  • Experience with analysing and using data for service improvement
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent time management skills
  • IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology is desirable
  • Knowledge of Medical legislation is desirable
