Capsule Shop is seeking a friendly, fashion-forward individual with great customer service and sales skills. Our designer boutique is right in the heart of downtown Brentwood where you will get to style truly delightful customers with some of the most incredible brands on the market. Our staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the brands we carry and on top of industry trends. We are very invested in the success of our product and continue to adjust and grow with sales trends and company feedback. We also have a big online presence with customers from all over the US. Responsibilities
SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Achieve financial objectives by regularly meeting sales goals
- Maintain customer service standards, including building relationships with loyal shoppers
- Organize trunk shows
- Cultivate and build client relationships through CRM, e-mails, text, and weekly newsletters.
- Oversee store operations including sales, visual display and customer inquiries
- Deal with complaints, comments and issues from customers to maintain the store’s reputation
MERCHANDISE AND BUYING
- Participate in the buying process to ensure brand and customer standards are met
- Assist with the merchandising of seasonal buys
- Monitor product performance to identify possible product swaps or restocks
- Oversee product markdown lifecycle including promotional discounts, first markdown and further reductions
- Receive and inspect shipments to maintain accurate inventory levels
OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT
- Recruit, select, orient, and train store associates
- Maintain sales associates job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Maintain store calendar, including off-site events
- Maintain schedule for store associates
- Manage vendors (decal, print and security)
- Approve invoices
- Oversee IT issues and general day-to-day
- Perform quarterly inventory audits
- Prepare bank deposits
- Coordinate with the team to plan in store and online promotions
- Other duties as assigned by ownership
SAFETY AND SECURITY
- Maintain and exercise discretion over secure and confidential information
- Protect sales associates and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
INPROVEMENT AND INITIATIVE
- Find and present to ownership opportunities to increase sales and strengthen brand equity
- Participate in training; apply learning and newly identified best practices where possible.
- Stay familiar with any and all changes to rules or regulations, associate conduct rules, etc.
TEAMWORK AND ACCOUNTABILITY
- Work as a team player with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Communicates regularly with management and associates to keep them apprised of changes and new information.
- Set an example with punctual and consistent attendance at the store, as well as events representing the store (such as trunk shows).
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s merchandising or related experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years retail experience.
- Must have track record of maintaining and increasing sales year to year
- Must have track record of maintaining a strong loyal customer list
- Must be proficient in MS Office, Google and Google applications
- Must be highly proficient in MS Excel
- Must be skilled in reviewing financial and sales reports
- Must be flexible and organized with a variety of administrative tasks that change day to day.
- Must be able to multi-task, coordinate logistics, problem solve, prioritize a work load, and operate with little supervision.
- Will be required to attend to multiple projects while prioritizing and meeting tight deadlines.
- Will work with others and must be flexible, open minded, and collaborative.
- Must have the ability to take constructive criticism and direction from internal resources.
- Flexibility with work schedule, i.e., evening and weekend availability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
