Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Work on a variety of projects and tasks as assigned by the Vice President of Facilities and Engineering. Complete project fieldwork, analysis, and report production using standard resources and templates.
2. Work on tool development and special projects as assigned, clarifying scope, schedule, budget and other expectations with the Vice President of Facilities and Engineering as needed.
3. Manage projects when directed by the Executive Vice President of Facilities and Engineering; includes all aspects of planning, scoping, budgeting, scheduling, deciding technical approach, ensuring technical quality, tracking, and ensuring customer’s expectations are met or exceeded.
4. Maintain technical resources in specific areas of expertise as assigned by the Vice President of Facilities and Engineering.
5. Keep the Vice President of Facilities and Engineering aware of project schedules and progress and provides regular time charging/budget updates as requested.
6. Work with and manages Central Plant Operators to achieve maximum thermal efficiency; using well managed energy choices.
7. Stay informed about energy issues and industry trends through regular technical reading and participation in local and national professional organizations.
8. Achieve assigned individual revenue and margin goals as defined by the annual revenue plan with PM, responsibility.
9. For Quoted and T&M work, generate estimates, determine pricing, and deliver proposals, secure the work and project manage the job to completion.
10. Supervise, plan and manage all aspects of HVAC throughout all buildings on the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino foot print.
11. The ability to supervise and project manage electrical systems and equipment installs, repairs, and design/build jobs.
12. Establish and maintain client and vendor relationships.
13. Perform job walks, take-offs, and site inspections.
14. Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility with the implementation of site safety and security procedures and project work rules.
15. Maintain quality or work in accordance with standards as specified in the project execution plan.
16. Oversee the electrical, plant operators and HVAC technicians schedule, projects and work performed.
SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage Electricians, Central Plant Operators, and Engineers. Monitor and implement appropriate action to achieve labor productivity and cost performance consistent with project business plans.
2. Assist the Executive Director of Mechanical Operations and the Senior Executive Director of Facilities & Engineering by ensuring that all work scope is executed in accordance with the Seneca Gaming Authority.
3. Review weekend work scope and determined Fluid field operations coverage requirements.
4. Review with the Executive Director of Mechanical Operations and the Senior Executive Director of Facilities & Engineering for approval.
5. Plan and manage the projects common activities in conjunction with the other Shift Managers.
6. Take lead role ensuring that all project scope has a non-disruptive effect on the existing Casino projects.
7. Implementation of site safety and security procedures and project work rules.
8. Must assure that all work performed by Electricians/Outside Contractors is done so in strict compliance with prepared specifications; as well as the National Electrical Code.
STANDARD REQUIREMENTS:
1. Develops, mentors and trains enrolled Seneca Nation members for future senior management positions within the company.
2. Oversees departmental administrative matters and ensures HR is consulted as appropriate. Meets with staff on a regular basis and with entire department no less than 3 times per year.
3. Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, evaluation, coaching and discipline, terminations and other personnel related issues.
4. Responsible for ensuring the department adheres to all company policies and internal controls, including but not limited to Compact, Human Resources, TERO compliance guidelines and Purchasing.
5. Prepares the annual budget and monitors to ensure attainment of goals. Manages labor and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage at all times while minimizing overtime.
6. Liaise with other department/company management to ensure consistency and smooth flow of information, policies and procedures.
7. Maintains a strong network of contacts throughout the industry to facilitate both formal and informal gathering of information.
8. Runs the department and design policies and training that result in exceptional customer service to all patrons. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
9. Keeps abreast of industry trends, new technology and practices as they relate to his/her area(s) of responsibility.
10. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
11. Attends all necessary meetings to stay informed; including company and community meetings.
12. Oversees an operation that is 24/7 and requires hours that can extend up to 60 hours per week or more, and be inclusive of work weeks that consist of 6 or 7 days. This individual is on-call and requires accessibility 24/7.
13. Perform any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
2. High school diploma or equivalent required.
3. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; engineering or related technical discipline or an equivalent level of education, training and/or experience.
4. Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of related work experience and three (3) years as an Electrical Service Supervisor or Manager.
5. Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in selling, estimating and managing electrical projects from $40,000 to $250,000 in the commercial market.
6. Must have the ability to develop technical solutions/applications of electrical services.
7. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
8. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
9. Master’s license and local electrical-related licenses required. Must maintain, or have maintained within the past five (5) years a Master Electricians License within the State of New York.
10. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.
11. Must be proficient in the use of Johnson Controls Building Managements Systems; as well as Siemens Building/Energy Management Controls.
12. Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience.
13. Applicants must be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.

Salary Starting Rate:
$114,495.30Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
