Pay Rate: $18.00+ per hour, based on experience

Job Overview
Bring on the Fruits and Veggies! As the 3^rd Shift Receiver, you will help keep our operation running smoothly with some of the most unique and exciting specialty produce in the region. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for receiving deliveries, inspecting products for quality and accuracy, organize inventory, and ensure items are stored and prepared properly for outbound orders. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining the high standards our company and customers rely on. This position requires on-site work at our warehouse facility.

What You'll Be Doing
As a JVI Receiver, you’ll help ensure every shipment is received accurately and meets our quality standards Key responsibilities include:

• Unloading trucks or supervising the unloading process
• Verifying product quantities against bills of lading and invoices
• Inspecting each lot of fresh fruits and vegetables for quality, condition, and freshness
• Documenting quality concerns, condition issues, and quantity discrepancies on bills of lading and invoices
• Following company receiving, quality-control, and safety procedures
• Preparing outbound customer orders, loading trucks accurately, and completing the required paperwork

What’s it like in our coolers?

• Temperature: Our warehouse ranges in temperature from 32-65°F, but don’t worry, we provide a few layers. Plus our breakroom is warm and well stocked with coffee, tea, and water.
• Activity Level: You’ll be moving around pretty much all day from cooler to cooler. We’ll supply you with an electric pallet jack, but there is a lot of hop-on hop-off.
• Safety First: We are a SAFETY FIRST culture here at JVI – full stop. We have policies in place to ensure this is a safe, healthy environment for you and all our team members. We also want you to be at your best in order to perform all tasks and duties in an efficient and safe manner.
• Warehouse Intensity: While you’re busy, our cash and carry customers may also be selecting their own orders in the cooler. Be prepared to navigate during busy hours.
• Collaboration: You may be asked to assign and direct other selectors or staff members to assist in unloading, product put away or lot rotation, also assisting with customer order selection or picking as needed.
• Dress Code: We require that you wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes (preferably comfortable ones!) with socks and long pants. You’ll also need to wear a Hi-Vis reflector jacket when on the job, which we will provide. We ask that your clothing does not have any potentially offensive writing or drawings, but outside of that: be you!
