Join ACCIONA and be part of a team delivering one of New Zealand's most significant transport infrastructure projects. The Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana - Ara Tūhono project will enhance connectivity, improve safety and support regional growth, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
About the Opportunity
As Project Engineer, you'll provide engineering support across the project lifecycle, from tender through to construction delivery. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll coordinate technical activities, manage subcontractors and work closely with design and commercial teams. You'll shape construction methods, manage schedules and apply digital engineering tools to help deliver a nationally significant infrastructure project.
Key Accountabilities
- Estimate scope of works and develop delivery options
- Develop project programs, including staging
- Prepare tender submissions and bid documentation
- Create construction methods, lifting plans and drawings
- Manage schedules, critical path and work breakdown structure
- Apply digital engineering tools, including GIS and BIM
- Identify risks and drive safe work practices
Required Skills and Competencies
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience delivering civil or infrastructure projects
- Strong grasp of construction methods and processes
- Skilled at reading engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The project will initially be based in Auckland and then move to an office between Warkworth and Wellsford.
