Role Summary
We are seeking two experienced Cyber Incident Response (CIR) Team Leads to oversee teams of attorneys supporting cyber data mining and review activities for U.S. data breach matters. These individuals will serve as the primary point of coordination for attorney review teams, ensuring quality, productivity, and compliance with project protocols while supporting multiple fast-paced matters simultaneously.
The ideal candidates will possess strong leadership experience, a background in managing legal review teams, and hands-on experience with cyber data mining and data breach response projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise attorneys performing cyber data mining and review for data breach matters.
- Assign work, manage daily priorities, and monitor productivity and deadlines.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with project protocols and client requirements.
- Train and coach team members and provide timely performance feedback.
- Track project progress, capacity, quality, and productivity metrics.
- Identify workflow issues, escalate risks, and recommend process improvements.
- Lead team meetings and communicate project updates to managers and other stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow applicable data-security requirements.
- Support multiple projects and adjust staffing based on changing volumes and deadlines.
Required Skills/Abilities
- At least one year of experience in a Team Lead, supervisory, or people-management role.
- Experience supporting U.S. data breach notification matters.
- Familiarity with Relativity or similar review platforms.
- Hands-on experience with cyber data mining, data breach review, document review, e-discovery, or a related legal-services environment.
- Understanding of PII, PHI, and other sensitive-data categories.
- Strong quality-control, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple high-volume projects.
Education and Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification.
- Experience leading teams on large-scale cyber incident response or data breach review engagements.
- Familiarity with U.S. privacy and data breach notification regulations.
- Experience managing remote review teams.
