Description

Your opportunity

Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Sutherland Shire, our village offers a dynamic and supportive work environment, surrounded by stunning bay views and picturesque sunsets.

As a valued Home Care Worker at Anglicare Woolooware Shores based in Taren Point on site working on a Casual basis, a vibrant and welcoming community set in the heart of Sydney’s Southern suburbs.

You will provide compassionate, high-quality support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and live with dignity.

You will assist with daily living tasks, offer emotional support, and provide meaningful companionship. Your care will ensure clients feel safe, respected, and valued in the comfort of their own environment.

Since this role is fully onsite, there’s no need to travel between clients — just a short, pleasant stroll between apartments and villas across our beautifully landscaped village grounds. It’s a rewarding way to provide personalised care alongside our supportive and collaborative team.

This position is a Casual position offering a variety of shift times including weekends.

With kindness and understanding, you will provide:

Domestic Assistance – Supporting with household chores such as washing, ironing, vacuuming, and dusting.

Meal Preparation – Assisting with planning, preparing, and cooking meals.

Personal Care Support – Helping with showering, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene needs.

Social Engagement – Providing companionship and encouraging participation in social activities and community engagement.

Transport Services – Offering transport for appointments, shopping trips, and social outings.

What you’ll bring

You are a kind-hearted, patient and respectful person who is passionate about enhancing the lives of older people.

You share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, and bring them to everything you do.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

Essential:

  • Valid NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Reliable NSW C Class Motor Vehicle for travel between customer locations
  • Current accredited First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations (highly recommended)
  • Basic computer and smartphone literacy

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in Home Care or Disability Support
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community)

You will also have:

Empathy – understanding and sharing the feelings of others

Patience – staying calm and composed in challenging situations

Communication – clear and respectful interaction with clients and families

Reliability – being dependable and consistent in care delivery

Adaptability – adjusting to different needs and environments
