FOH Supervisor / Host

Fargo Country Club is seeking a dependable, professional, and hospitality-focused FOH Supervisor / Host to help lead our front-of-house team while providing an exceptional experience for our members and guests.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys hospitality, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable supporting all areas of front-of-house service, including wine service and bartending when needed.

Pay: $11–$15 per hour + tips and service charge

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members and guests with a friendly, professional attitude.

• Manage the host stand, reservations, seating arrangements, and table flow.

• Supervise and support servers, hosts, bartenders, and other FOH staff during shifts.

• Assign sections, monitor staffing levels, and assist with breaks and shift changes.

• Coordinate front-of-house operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.

• Provide knowledgeable and professional wine service, including presenting, opening, and serving wine when appropriate.

• Assist with bartending and beverage service when needed, including preparing and serving beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.

• Ensure responsible alcohol-service practices and verify identification when required.

• Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, management, and event staff.

• Monitor service standards and provide coaching and direction to FOH staff.

• Handle member and guest questions, requests, and service concerns professionally.

• Assist servers and bartenders during busy periods.

• Help maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dining rooms, host areas, and service stations.

• Assist with opening and closing procedures.

• Support private events, banquets, weddings, and special club functions.

• Help train new FOH employees on service standards, club procedures, and expectations.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol-service, and club policies.

• Lead by example and contribute to a positive, professional team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, country club, bartending, or supervisory experience preferred.

• Wine knowledge and wine-service experience preferred.

• Bartending experience is a plus.

• Strong customer-service and communication skills.

• Ability to confidently lead and support a front-of-house team.

• Professional, friendly, dependable, and organized.

• Ability to remain calm and professional when handling guest concerns.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.

Schedule

Flexible scheduling based on club operations, events, and member needs. Evening and weekend availability is required.
