Your role at Clorox:

The AI & Application Security Engineer will help secure Clorox’s enterprise AI, GenAI, and agentic AI capabilities from design through production. This role will implement AI-specific security controls, application and API security practices, identity and access safeguards, runtime monitoring, secure MCP/API gateway patterns, and risk assessment processes to ensure AI systems are safe, compliant, and production-ready.
The engineer will partner with Cybersecurity, IAM, Architecture, Cloud, Data, Integration, Engineering, Legal/Privacy, product teams, and vendors to embed security into AI use cases without slowing responsible delivery. Key focus areas include AI guardrails, prompt-injection and jailbreak mitigation, secure tool calling, least-privilege access, logging and SIEM integration, threat modeling, evidence collection, and control validation across AI applications, agents, data access, workflows, and integrations.

In this role, you will:

• The AI / Application Security Engineer will help secure enterprise AI, GenAI, and agentic AI platforms from design through production. This role is responsible for embedding AI-specific security controls, application and API security practices, identity and access safeguards, runtime monitoring, and risk mitigation into AI applications, agents, workflows, integrations, and data access patterns.

• In this role, the engineer will partner with Cybersecurity, IAM, Architecture, Cloud, Data, Integration, Engineering, Legal/Privacy, product teams, and vendors to ensure AI solutions are secure, compliant, monitored, and production-ready. Key responsibilities include implementing AI guardrails, prompt-injection and jailbreak protections, secure tool calling, least-privilege access, input/output validation, logging and SIEM integration, threat modeling, security testing, evidence collection, and secure SDLC controls for AI and application workloads.

• The ideal candidate has strong experience in application security, cloud security, identity and access management, DevSecOps, API security, and emerging AI security practices. They should be comfortable translating security requirements into practical engineering patterns that enable responsible AI delivery without unnecessarily slowing business innovation.

What we look for:

• AI security engineering, AI guardrails, LLM/AI gateways, runtime protection, prompt-injection and jailbreak mitigation, malicious-behavior detection, content safety, input/output validation, grounding and retrieval security, sensitive-data protection, secure tool calling, API/MCP gateway security, and compliance evidence.
• Application and API security, AI threat modeling and abuse cases, adversarial testing/red teaming, DevSecOps, SAST/DAST/SCA and container scanning, vulnerability management, secrets management, observability, SIEM integration, incident response, and security control automation.
• Ability to translate security policy into practical engineering controls and repeatable patterns that do not block delivery unnecessarily.
• Working knowledge of AI security and testing technologies such as AI Guard or equivalent runtime protection, LLM/AI gateways, content-safety and prompt-shield capabilities, DLP, WAF/API gateways, SIEM/SOAR, and automated security testing tools.
• Strong partnership with cloud, architecture, IAM, data, integration and product delivery teams.
