Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Bothell, WA office.

Your Role

• Learn to interpret and analyze various types of engineering drawings, including P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), electrical schematics, and loop diagrams
• Assist in reviewing and verifying engineering drawings for accuracy
• Maintain and update data in engineering databases or software tools
• Under the mentorship of team members, learn to perform a variety of engineering tasks as it pertains to instrumentation and controls engineering, including sizing instrumentation, control valves, and designing process control logic

About You

• EXPERIENCE:
  • No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION:
  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products
  • Experience with AutoCAD (not required, but preferred)

Additional Information 

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
