Senior Platform Engineer

About the Role

AnyMind Group develops products across multiple business domains—including e-commerce, marketing, logistics, and publisher/creator support—expanding across Asia and globally. Our Product Development organization collaborates seamlessly across multiple locations, including our primary hub in Thailand, as well as Japan, Vietnam, India, and beyond.

As each product has grown, our cloud infrastructure and data platforms have developed independently. This has led to variances in cloud resources, operational workflows, and costs, as well as challenges in consolidating and utilizing accumulated data.

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to drive cross-product visibility for our cloud infrastructure and data platforms. In this role, you will elevate reliability, security, and operational efficiency while continuously optimizing costs. You will not only propose strategies but also work hands-on alongside product teams to audit current setups, formulate roadmap plans, execute migrations, and embed robust operational practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Mission

• Drive Developer Productivity & Quality: Establish shared infrastructure, platform standards, guardrails, and reusable engineering assets to accelerate development velocity and elevate software quality across the entire Product Development organization.
• Optimize Cloud Operational Costs: Gain holistic visibility into cloud infrastructure across multiple products, continuously reducing operational expenses while uncompromised on system reliability, performance, and security.
• Standardize & Unify Data/Cloud Platforms: Organize data infrastructure to make data easily and securely accessible. Consolidate fragmented infrastructure setups and operations into shared frameworks and corporate standards.
• Identify & Prioritize Platform Bottlenecks: Holistically analyze configurations and workflows across teams to identify redundancies, technical bottlenecks, and security risks; present actionable themes and prioritize high-impact engineering initiatives.
• Data Warehouse Optimization & Governance: Audit data warehouse datasets and tables, establishing standardized rules for naming, schema design, partitioning, retention, and access management to ensure engineers and business stakeholders can query data safely and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications (Must-Have)

• Hands-on Production Cloud Infrastructure Experience: Proven track record in designing, building, and operating public cloud environments—treating application code and infrastructure holistically across IaC, IAM, Networking, CI/CD, Observability, and Security.
• Cloud Cost Analysis & Optimization: Hands-on experience auditing cloud resource usage, analyzing cost structures, and executing tangible cost-reduction strategies without disrupting live production environments.
• Data Warehouse Expertise: Demonstrated experience with table design, access control management, query performance tuning, and storage cost optimization.
• Cross-Functional & Multi-Team Stakeholder Alignment: Strong capability to drive technical consensus among diverse engineering teams and stakeholders, balancing business impact, cost, reliability, maintainability, and security.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience designing and operating production environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including multi-project cost management, security, and governance.
• Experience managing multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments (e.g., AWS + GCP).
• Practical experience implementing FinOps frameworks and automated cloud cost optimization tools.
• Hands-on implementation of Data Catalogs, metadata management, data quality frameworks, or data governance protocols.
• Experience with large-scale dataset partitioning, query optimization, and storage optimization.
• English Proficiency: Ability to conduct technical discussions, author design documents, align on architectural decisions, and participate actively in global team meetings in English.
