Your role
The Client Portfolio Reporting Associate is part of our Central Reporting Team, the function dedicated to the supervision, monitoring and reporting of the wealth of UHNWIs clients. The mission of the role is to act as the technical point of reference for portfolio monitoring and reporting, ensuring data consistency between our data aggregation platform and all bank transaction sources. In doing so, the Associate develops a complete view of the life of the portfolio and is therefore able to trace, explain and reconcile every event affecting it, maintaining coherence between the underlying data, the platform and the client report.
The role is allocated to a defined group of client relationships of considerable size and structural complexity, with assets held across multiple banking relationships and spanning a broad range of instruments: equities, bonds, alternative investments, certificates, derivatives and structured products. The role therefore carries direct ownership of how sophisticated instruments are represented in client reporting.
Alongside this technical mandate, the Associate is the client's reference point for all reporting matters, including the resolution of discrepancies between bank records and our platform, and supports the client in the adoption of, and day-to-day work with, our proprietary technology. The role operates in close collaboration with the Relationship Managers and our Product and Technology teams, providing direct exposure to portfolio construction, asset allocation and client investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the monitoring and data consistency of the client's entire wealth, across all asset classes and custodians, ensuring the information used for reporting is accurate, complete and timely
- Act as the client's reference point on all reporting activities, including the investigation and resolution of inconsistencies between bank transactions and our platform
- Own how complex instruments are represented in client reporting
- Participate in client meetings alongside the Relationship Manager to capture reporting requirements, both explicit and implicit, and translate them into concrete changes in how the portfolio is presented
- Support the client through on-boarding, training and day-to-day use of our data aggregation platform, ensuring a smooth and well-supported client experience
- Coordinate with the Data Analysts and review their output for accuracy and product-appropriate representation, identifying issues that standard reconciliation alone would not surface
- Liaise with banks and asset and fund managers on product-level questions required to interpret and represent instruments correctly
- Work with our Data Engineering team to drive the automation of the data flow between banks and our platform, shaping which parts of the process are automated and in what sequence
- Contribute directly to the loading and validation of transactions and valuations during the initial on-boarding phase, as the activity progressively transitions to the Data Analysts
What we are looking for
- Outstanding academic background with a master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related disciplines
- 2-5 years' experience in portfolio reporting, wealth management, asset management, family office, fund audit or consulting
- Solid product knowledge: the ability to explain how equities, bonds, alternative investments, certificates, derivatives and structured products each should be represented in a client report, and why
- Confident reading and interpretation of account statements, bank reports, wealth reports and documentation relating to alternative investments
- Experience with cash and debt position reconciliation
- Ability to capture reporting requirements in client conversations and translate them into concrete changes in how reporting is built
- Ability to coordinate and drive quality across a team without formal authority
- Prior experience presenting or explaining portfolios directly to clients or their advisors is considered a plus
- Tech-savvy with a strong interest in exploring new technologies; experience with a wealth reporting platform (Addepar is a strong plus)
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear and inpactful presentations
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
- Effective communicator with a collaborative and multicultural mindset
- Highly motivated and proactive, with a hands-on and flexible attitude
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic and fast-growing environment
- Fluent in French and English
- Availability to travel
