The Key Purpose of this role is to manage all Finished Goods (FG) within the logistics supply chain, ensuring compliance with inventory governance processes, controls, and quality standards. Ensure all physical inventory movements are accurately reflected in SAP, and inventory discrepancies are investigated, resolved, and reported.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
FG Quality Management
- Ensure FG inventory quality standards are maintained in line with DPO and VPO requirements.
- Accurately block quality-related and obsolete stock in SAP and implement physical blocking controls.
- Ensure compliance with product freshness and stock rotation policies.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts, including quantities, BBD, SKU, and bin card information.
- Apply and obtain approval for inventory concessions in accordance with product age standards.
- Ensure salvaged inventory is repacked according to approved standards.
- Coordinate the decanting of obsolete stock in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Inventory Management
- Conduct independent inventory counts of all returnable containers and reconcile them with SAP records.
- Identify, investigate, resolve, and report inventory discrepancies.
- Escalate unresolved inventory variances with supporting commentary and corrective action plans.
- Ensure all physical inventory movements are accurately transacted in SAP.
- Verify T1 and T2 movements, packaging receipts, write-offs, and supporting documentation.
- Process breakages, obsolete stock, and salvage stock accurately in SAP.
- Review and resolve open T1 and T2 shipments.
- Process container claims timeously and ensure reimbursement documentation is complete.
- Review, approve, and sign off route settlement corrections.
- Monitor SCO budget versus actual costs and report gaps with associated action plans.
Governance and Risk
- Ensure all inventory-related documentation is properly authorized, filed, and securely stored.
- Conduct random verification of security camera coverage at critical site locations.
- Ensure independent three-point checks are completed for all T1 and T2 shipment departures and arrivals.
- Maintain compliance with inventory control policies, procedures, and governance standards.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Sciences.
- 2-3 years' experience in a Stock Control or Inventory Management environment.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience with SAP R3.
