Job Description

As a Security Guard Government Service Building Access Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location serving children and families. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, document observations, and deliver professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public agencies when required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government office areas, entrances, common spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required activity logs and incident reports.
• Support a respectful, professional environment for staff, families, children, and visitors while maintaining confidentiality and following applicable site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
