Pipeline Operator

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Pipeline Operator to support the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of oil and gas pipeline systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in pipeline operations, troubleshooting, inspections, and preventive maintenance, with a strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency. 

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate pipeline systems to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of oil, natural gas, and other products. 
• Perform routine inspections of pipelines, valves, pumps, meters, and associated equipment. 
• Monitor pipeline pressures, flow rates, and operating conditions to identify and address abnormalities. 
• Troubleshoot operational issues and assist with equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. 
• Perform pipeline line locating and coordinate with One Call (811) services as needed. 
• Assist with pipeline pigging operations, pressure testing, and leak detection. 
• Identify and report potential leaks, equipment malfunctions, and safety hazards. 
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, contractors, and control room personnel to resolve operational issues. 
• Maintain accurate daily operating logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records. 
• Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and applicable operating procedures. 
• Respond to emergency situations, equipment failures, and operational callouts as required. 

Qualifications

• Previous experience in oil and gas pipeline operations, production operations, or a related field required. 
• Experience with pipeline inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and leak detection. 
• Familiarity with pipeline line locating and One Call procedures preferred. 
• Knowledge of pipeline safety regulations, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and safe work practices. 
• Ability to read and interpret pipeline drawings, maps, and operating procedures. 
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between field locations as needed. 
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and respond to after-hours callouts when required. 
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. 
• Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
