Description
The Allegro team is united by a clear purpose—advancing technologies that make the world safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. With over 30 years of experience in semiconductor innovation, we bring that purpose to life across every part of the business—from breakthrough product development and customer success to how we show up for each other and the communities we serve.
The Opportunity
At Allegro MicroSystems, we lead the world toward a safer, more sustainable, and autonomous future by ensuring our global operations teams are equipped with industry-leading skills and knowledge. As a Technical Training Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping the capabilities of our production workforce. You will have the unique opportunity to design, implement, and champion training programs that directly impact manufacturing quality, operational safety, and process efficiency. Operating in a highly regulated and high-tech semiconductor environment, your work will ensure our personnel maintain the certified expertise required to build world-class automotive and industrial solutions.
What You Will Do
- Program Development & Delivery: Develop, implement, and deliver technical skills training courses and lesson plans for production personnel. You will conduct interactive classroom lectures, hands-on group sessions, and practical demonstrations.
- Certification & Governance: Administer and maintain the certification and recertification programs for production staff. You will design, review, and continually update written, online, and practical exams to verify technical competency.
- Needs Assessment & Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to conduct thorough needs assessments, translate operational requirements into robust training specifications, and disseminate work instruction changes quickly to the manufacturing floor.
- Metrics & Compliance: Monitor, track, and evaluate the progress of trainees and program effectiveness. You will generate comprehensive reports for management and ensure all learning and development processes comply with strict IATF 16949 quality standards.
- Record & Resource Management: Maintain meticulously organized training histories, physical and digital certification records, training manuals, and physical training aids under strict document control.
- Employee Mentorship: Conduct counseling sessions to address workmanship discrepancies or behavioral challenges of new hires during their onboarding and training lifecycle.
- Continuous Innovation: Stay updated on emerging learning trends, new manufacturing equipment, and advanced processes to keep training methodologies modern, engaging, and impactful.
What You Will Bring
- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related technical/scientific field (or equivalent practical manufacturing training experience).
- Instructional Expertise: Proven experience conducting technical training, developing lesson plans, and managing training logistics in a manufacturing environment (semiconductor or automotive experience is highly preferred).
- Standards & Quality Alignment: Strong understanding of training compliance within quality frameworks such as IATF 16949 or ISO 9001.
- Technical Curriculum Design: Demonstrated ability to perform training needs analyses, write technical exams, and design clear training materials from engineering specifications.
- Exceptional Communication: Outstanding presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the empathy and patience required to coach and mentor diverse learning groups.
- Organization & Detail-Oriented: Exceptional tracking and administrative skills to maintain zero-gap certification records and historical databases.
