The Role
The Claims Technician will sit within the Howden Superyachts claims team and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration and processing of claims activity. You’ll be responsible for the accurate handling of claim payments, bordereaux preparation and submissions for a key crew medical facility, while ensuring claims records, reporting and administrative processes are maintained to a high standard.
What you'll do
Process claim payments accurately and within agreed timescales
Prepare and submit bordereaux for an important crew medical facility
Set up new claims on internal systems, ensuring complete and accurate records
Verify payment requests and supporting documentation prior to processing
Maintain claim diaries and monitor outstanding actions to support effective claims management
Close claims on systems promptly and accurately once all requirements have been completed
Produce regular claims statistics, reports and management information for the team
Support claims handlers with administrative activities that contribute to service delivery
Maintain high standards of data quality and record keeping across all claims files
Contribute to claims-related projects and process improvement initiatives as business requirements evolve
Who we're looking for
Demonstrable experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Ability to work accurately with numerical data and financial information
Experience managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Proven ability to work effectively within a team while taking ownership of individual responsibilities
