Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, Retail, the Restaurant Manager is a leadership role at King’s Hawaiian Bakery and Restaurant. This role participates in the development and execution of the King’s Hawaiian Bakery and Restaurant’s strategic plan, growth initiatives, and daily operations.

This position is responsible for the overall management and coordination of restaurant and bakery operations with an emphasis on providing an Aloha experience through excellent guest services and irresistible quality baked goods and Hawaiian foods. This position is responsible for managing best practices that drive the organizational efficiencies and effectiveness of all food and service standards.

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for actively living the Aloha Culture, company Core Values, and Aloha Behaviors of King’s Hawaiian, and managing the operation with execution, validation, and oversight of systems and processes that maintain a consistent quality of Aloha service and product excellence.


 

Job Requirements:

  • Strong ability to lead and develop a team through coaching, training, and mentorship.
  • Provides ongoing feedback and conducts performance evaluations.
  • Works with maintenance to ensure equipment preventative maintenance and emergency maintenance are performed to specified guidelines.
  • Responsible for steps of service standards and service with Aloha.
  • Manages the schedule.
  • Responsible for supporting, recruiting, and hiring needs to maintain proper staffing levels.
  • Responsible for meeting all financial goals set by the General Manager.
  • Acts upon guest feedback to make sustained corrections or adjustments to service.
  • Creates and follows up regularly on employee goals that align and drive operating plan.
  • Ensures proper staffing levels are maintained and uses appropriate data for accurate scheduling.
  • Reviews equipment that will improve quality, safety, and/or efficiency.
  • Follows ordering process for accuracy and minimizing waste.
  • Develops and maintains systems and processes to measure service levels so consistent service standards that meet industry and internal best practices are met.
  • Ensure that all cash handling and security procedures are met.
  • Reviews and improve current operating procedures that create better efficiencies and effectiveness and improve security and safety.
  • Provides a safe work / food environment for our employees and guests.
  • Conducts monthly safety training and sign-off.
  • Validates that best food handling standards and employee safety practices are being followed and maintained.
  • Maintains all food and safety government agencies and third-party inspection scores of 90% or higher.

Skills/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years of Restaurant Management experience within a similar environment.
  • Proficient in English with clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly curious, collaborative, and critical thinker.
  • Phenomenal Customer Service
  • Experience with service and labor controls, food quality, and safe food handling.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to model, coach, and enforce values, human and food safety, and sanitation.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Able to balance multiple tasks and work well in an environment with time constraints.
  • Proficient with technology including MS Office, and POS systems as a plus.

Compensation- $68,600-$95,000
