About the Role
CLO is seeking a creative, strategic, and socially minded Communications & Engagement Coordinator to lead and coordinate our internal and external communications, stakeholder engagement, brand management, and digital presence.
Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Specialist Services Officer, this role plays a key part in strengthening CLO's reputation, promoting our services, supporting organisational growth, and ensuring our communications reflect our commitment to human rights, disability rights, inclusion, and participant voice.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong strategic communication and stakeholder engagement capability with excellent graphic design, content creation, and digital marketing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver communication and engagement initiatives aligned with CLO's Strategic Plan, organisational objectives, values, and commitment to disability rights and inclusion.
- Lead the implementation of consistent, accessible, and engaging communications across all channels, including social media, website, newsletters, publications, marketing campaigns, and stakeholder communications.
- Manage and strengthen CLO's brand identity, ensuring all communications and visual assets align with organisational standards, tone of voice, and strategic priorities.
- Produce high-quality graphic design and communication materials including reports, presentations, annual reports, newsletters, capability statements, promotional materials, social media content, and digital assets.
- Provide communication and engagement support to the Chief Strategy and Specialist Services Officer, including executive communications, strategic projects, organisational announcements, tenders, funding submissions, and business development initiatives.
- Develop compelling stories and content that amplify participant voice, showcase organisational impact, and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders across the disability, community, government, and corporate sectors, representing CLO at events, forums, consultations, and networking opportunities.
- Manage CLO's digital communications, including social media platforms, website content, recruitment marketing, and digital campaigns, using data and insights to maximise engagement and reach.
- Monitor communication performance, analyse metrics, and provide recommendations that improve engagement, brand awareness, and organisational outcomes.
- Collaborate with leaders and teams across the organisation to ensure consistent messaging, effective information sharing, and a culture of inclusion, respect, and dignity.
- Lead, support, and coach the Marketing and Communications Officer to deliver high-quality communication outcomes and build capability.
To Thrive, You Will Have
- Demonstrated experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, marketing, public relations, or a similar role.
- Strong strategic communication capability with experience developing and delivering communication plans, campaigns, and engagement initiatives.
- Outstanding written communication skills, including experience preparing executive communications, reports, newsletters, publications, stakeholder updates, and marketing content.
- Advanced graphic design skills with proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, and the ability to create professional, accessible, and visually engaging communication materials.
- Experience managing social media platforms, websites, digital communications, and online marketing campaigns.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible content for diverse audiences.
- Experience using communication analytics and performance data to evaluate effectiveness and inform future communication strategies.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of the disability sector, NDIS environment, and a commitment to human rights, inclusion, and participant-centred practice.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current Driver’s Licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a relevant field
- Must satisfy all visa requirements to work in Australia
