Job Summary

The Benefits Analysts assists the Manager, Worldwide Benefits in the design, administration, and governance of the Transocean employee benefits programs worldwide.

Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Benefits Administration:  Execute ongoing verification and error reports produced from outsourced benefits administrators.  Research and resolve system data edits.  Provide input to trends observed to resolve issues from repeating.  Assist with testing administration changes for completeness and end user experience based on established requirements. Participate in ongoing vendor meetings to provide input on errors identified, track to completion.
  • Employee Benefits Inquiries:  Monitor and research employee benefits related inquiries, respond to routine questions, direct employees to the appropriate resource, partner with Analysts for resolution of moderately complex benefits employee questions and troubleshoot issues.  Coordinate with vendors to execute as needed. Research non-routine inquiries and provide for input from Analysts before providing response to employee.
  • Compliance: Perform routine audit control procedures with assistance from Analyst.  Report on control completion with internal/external auditors with assistance.  Complete audit related inquiries and gather supporting material for submission. Prepares reporting and documentation for required reporting/filing obligations for review.
  • Benefit Changes:  Execute updates to documentation as required for benefits changes (SPDs, Benefits Guides, HR FAQ, etc.)
  • Benefits Payments:  Processes invoices and funding and routes for approval. Tracks payments against budget for Manager review. Coordinates new vendor for payment processing.

Education:

  • Minimum required: Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

  • Minimum required: 1-2 years working in a corporate office function
  • Preferred: Benefits related experience in Consulting, Administration, or related fields
