This position is responsible for general warehouse operations such as organizing/cleaning/ maintaining the workspace, refilling stock, general safety regulations and supporting job sites.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
General warehouse operations.
Keep shop and area organized and clean.
Receiving freight and stocking the warehouse.
Perform inventory counts and maintain inventory stock levels.
Ordering and receiving parts though PZ software
Check in orders and stock all inventory items.
Working directly with vendors off site and delivering parts job sites.
Maintain, clean, and organize all shop tools.
Check specialty tools in and out.
Maintaining extinguishers and system cylinders in various locations in shop.
Maintain equipment and tools necessary to safely perform jobs.
Prepare parts for upcoming jobs.
Minor pipe fabricating
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education/Qualification:
High school diploma or equivalent. Any vocational training is strongly desired.
Strong willingness to learn inspection and testing procedures in the fire protection industry.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under direct supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and safety.
Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving role).
Willingness to obtain a fire extinguisher license within first 3 months of hire.
Other Duties:
Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Frequent lifting and carrying of toolboxes, equipment, parts, tools, equipment, cabling, and/or wiring.
Frequent ladder climbing and checking, pulling wire, etc.
Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, and raising hands overhead.
