Description
Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic radiopharmaceutical procedures in a clinical imaging environment. In this role, you will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate GE imaging equipment, handle venipunctures, and document care within EPIC EMR and PACS systems while prioritizing patient safety and radiation protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nuclear Imaging & Diagnostics: Perform a wide range of diagnostic nuclear medicine exams in accordance with established clinical standards and radiation safety guidelines (ALARA).
- Radiopharmaceutical Handling & Venipuncture: Perform venipunctures to administer ordered radiopharmaceuticals and diagnostic agents safely and accurately.
- Systems & Technology: Operate GE nuclear medicine imaging equipment, document patient records via EPIC EMR, and process images using McKesson PACS.
- Patient Care & Safety: Guide patients through procedures with clear communication, ensure patient comfort, and apply verbal de-escalation/crisis prevention techniques as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Clinical Experience: Minimum 1+ year of dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience [Required]. (CT experience is a plus).
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with GE imaging systems, EPIC EMR, McKesson PACS, and venipuncture [Required].
- Licensure: Active State Radiologic Technologist / Nuclear Medicine License [Required].
- Certifications:
- Active ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) Certification [Required].
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Crisis Prevention / De-escalation Training (e.g., CPI, Welle, or equivalent) [Required prior to start].
- Additional Requirements: Reliable personal transportation [Required]. Previous travel experience [Strongly Encouraged].
