The Portfolio Manager leads a team of Technical Program Managers responsible for customer programs, NPIs, and strategic initiatives within a business vertical. This role drives portfolio priorities, governance, risk and revenue visibility, pricing strategy, customer escalation, and executive reporting while supporting capacity planning through prioritization and escalation.

What You Will Do

• Lead, coach, and develop Technical Program Managers, ensuring clear ownership, consistent standards, and strong execution across the assigned vertical. 

• Set portfolio priorities that align customer commitments, forecasted revenue, strategic objectives, risk, and business outcomes. 

• Serve as the first escalation point for customer program issues, representing the organization with confidence, credibility, and sound judgment. 

• Manage portfolio-level risk and revenue visibility by identifying forecast gaps, bottlenecks, and issues requiring TPM support, escalation, or mitigation. 

• Support PMO-owned capacity planning by prioritizing active NPIs, resolving priority conflicts, and escalating resource constraints. 

• Act as gatekeeper for project intake, evaluation, prioritization, approval, and portfolio planning through Lean Portfolio Management. 

• Develop portfolio pricing strategies with Product Management, Sales, Finance, and other stakeholders to improve pricing intelligence and decision-making. 

• Lead portfolio reviews, executive dashboards, and decision forums to raise critical risks, secure leadership support, and drive timely resolution. 

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in program management, portfolio management, product development, or engineering leadership. 

• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop Technical Program Managers or senior program leaders. 

• Strong knowledge of Lean Portfolio Management, project prioritization, resource planning, and portfolio governance. 

• Demonstrated ability to balance customer commitments, strategic objectives, technical risk, capacity, and business trade-offs. 

• Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, executive stakeholder management, and customer-facing escalation skills. 
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to build alignment and drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
