THE JOB:

Peace Officers are responsible for providing Excellent Guest Service, including, but not limited to, ensuring the safety of employees and guests and patrolling the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.

 
THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, including fixed posts (indoor & outdoor) and operating the mobile security unit vehicle
• Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees
• Act as a First Responder in emergency situations
• Perform gaming drops/transactions, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers
• Resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and employees
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations
• Perform all duties related to the Security Horse Racing / Paddock operation
• When justified, handle any valid arrests, including all booking, processing, and follow-up procedures as dictated by NYS Law for Peace Officers
• Obtain (if not already certified) and maintain the New York State "Peace Officer" designation through the State of New York Division of Criminal Justice Services
• Perform all duties related to the "Security Dispatch" and "Lost & Found" roles
• Utilize security software to create, edit, and review security reports and other forms of incident documentation
  

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 1+ year of prior relevant experience in customer service
• 3+ years of prior relevant experince in Law Enforcement or private sector security
• 21 years or older
• Valid Drivers License

Pay Rate

The rate for this role is:

$34.41

Pay is subject to review following 90 days of employment.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
