Description
Senior Business Analyst – Software / Technology / Business Systems
Mountain Pine, Arkansas | $75,000 – $95,000 | Permanent | Onsite 4–5 Days Per Week
YourCode Recruitment is working with an established and growing US organization to recruit an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join its technology function in Mountain Pine, Arkansas.
This is a broad, hands-on Business Analyst opportunity with responsibility spanning business requirements, stakeholder management, process improvement, software delivery and quality assurance.
You’ll act as a key link between operational teams and software engineering, helping the organization understand complex business challenges, define future-state processes and successfully deliver technology-led improvements.
Unlike a purely requirements-focused BA position, this role also carries significant ownership of software testing and quality, including UAT, regression testing, integration testing and release readiness.
The Role
As Senior Business Analyst, you’ll take ownership of one or more business domains and work directly with stakeholders to understand problems, identify potential solutions and translate requirements into deliverable technology projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading business requirements gathering and discovery
• Running stakeholder interviews, workshops and analysis sessions
• Identifying the underlying business problem behind stakeholder requests
• Developing clear requirements and acceptance criteria
• Mapping current and future-state business processes
• Assessing the operational impact of technology changes
• Breaking complex initiatives into incremental deliverables
• Managing and refining requirements throughout the software development lifecycle
• Supporting backlog refinement and sprint planning
• Working closely with software developers and technical stakeholders
• Communicating technical constraints and trade-offs to business teams
• Developing risk-based testing strategies
• Planning and coordinating User Acceptance Testing
• Conducting functional, integration, regression and data validation testing
• Maintaining regression test coverage across releases
• Investigating defects and supporting root-cause analysis
• Contributing to release quality standards
• Supporting documentation, training and change management
• Mentoring less experienced Business Analysts
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines strong traditional Business Analysis skills with an understanding of how software is developed, tested and successfully introduced into an operational environment.
You’ll ideally have:
• 6+ years of Business Analysis, QA or combined BA/QA experience
• Experience taking ownership of a business or operational domain
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation experience
• Experience leading discovery on complex business problems
• Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
• Experience working alongside software development teams
• Strong understanding of Agile software delivery
• Experience leading User Acceptance Testing
• Understanding of regression, functional and integration testing
• Ability to investigate problems and challenge initial requirements constructively
• Experience mentoring or developing other analysts
• Strong communication skills across business, technical and leadership teams
Desirable Skills & Experience
Additional experience with the following would be beneficial:
• CRM or major business systems implementations
• Call center, scheduling, dispatch, routing or field service operations
• SQL and data validation
• Data migration and integration testing
• Business process modeling / BPMN
• QA strategy and test design
• Selenium or Playwright
• API testing with Postman
• Figma
• Change management and end-user training
The specification also highlights SQL, BPMN/process modelling, Selenium/Playwright and Postman as desirable rather than mandatory, so I’d keep these in a separate section to avoid unnecessarily narrowing the candidate pool.
Location & Working Pattern
The position is based in Mountain Pine, Arkansas, with an expectation of being onsite approximately 4–5 days per week.
Applicants should therefore already live within commuting distance or be willing to relocate to the area.
Salary & Package
$75,000 – $95,000 per year, depending on experience, plus company benefits.

If you’re a Senior Business Analyst, Senior IT Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or BA/QA professional looking for a position where you can take genuine ownership of business requirements and technology delivery, we’d be keen to hear from you.
