Job Description
The Senior Account Manager, Business Development will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding a portfolio of key strategic relationships across the wealth landscape, including wirehouses, private banks, independent broker-dealers, RIAs, and strategic platforms.
This Senior Account Manager will serve as a senior commercial leader responsible for deepening strategic partnerships, expanding platform access, accelerating advisor adoption, and driving long-term revenue growth across Brookfield’s private wealth business.
The role requires a highly strategic relationship manager with strong commercial instincts, executive presence, and deep expertise in alternative investments and wealth distribution. The successful candidate will operate as a trusted advisor to key external stakeholders while influencing internal strategy across product, distribution, marketing, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior relationship owner for a portfolio of key wealth platforms
- Maintain strong execution discipline through business planning, opportunity management, go to market coordination, and proactive management of client developments
- Develop and execute strategic account plans that deepen relationships, expand platform access, and accelerate commercial growth
- Maintain deep fluency across our product suite and enterprise capabilities to effectively align solutions with partner goals, priorities, and growth objectives
- Secure new platform approvals, selling agreements, and product placements across key wealth management channels.
- Act as the voice of the client internally, translating partner priorities, evaluating opportunities, and informing decision making through client insights and market trends
- Lead launch readiness and ongoing commercial activation across assigned strategic partners, ensuring coordinated execution and strong partner engagement
- Develop and maintain strategic intelligence on assigned partner platforms to enhance client centricity and commercial effectiveness
- Mobilize cross functional support across product, legal, marketing, operations, and sales to execute on agreed upon partner priorities
- Partner with external and internal sales teams to convert platform access into advisor adoption and sales growth
- Represent the firm externally at client conferences and industry events to build brand visibility.
Qualifications
- 14+ years of experience in financial services, with a focus on alternative asset management or wealth product platforms
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in asset management, alternatives distribution, or wealth intermediary relationship management
- Demonstrated success managing complex strategic relationships
- Proven ability to influence key stakeholders internally and externally
- Organized
- Strong commercial judgment, strategic thinking, and execution orientation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong execution and organization driving initiatives
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or 66) required
Travel
- Significant travel is required for this role
Salary: $200k - $225K
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
