Job Description:
The Workplace Benefits Specialist team partners with Banking Relationship Managers (Business, Commercial) to identify benefits sales opportunities and drive growth across Defined Contribution (DC), Defined Benefits (DB), Nonqualified Defined Contribution (NQDC), Equity, and Health Benefits Solutions (HBS) products in a specified geographic region. They will also be aligned to a geographic region of Workplace Benefits Designated Advisors to drive business development and execution. The Workplace Benefits Sales Desk Specialist is responsible for the internal sales of the Workplace Benefits plans. The Sales Desk Specialist is primarily partner with Banking (Business, Commercial) Relationship Managers and Workplace Benefits Designated Advisors, Workplace Benefits Institutional Sales Support team, and internal partners throughout sales process.
Responsibilities:
Provide centralized support for field based Workplace Benefits Specialists throughout the full cycle of the sales process including business identification and development, client engagement, and servicing/deepening of client relationships
Facilitate new plan proposal process
Maintain active pipeline measurements via centralized CRM tool
Proactively contact Banking and Advisory partners and communicate complex strategies and sales ideas
Respond to all incoming business inquiries
Serve as liaison between various internal teams and the end client
Serve as remote Workplace Benefits Specialist for Banking and Advisory partners
Maintain and develop deep knowledge of Workplace Benefits product offerings/enhancements, legislative updates/environment, and sales strategies
Accountable for driving sales growth in Workplace Benefits plan within assigned sales territory
Requirements:
Series 7, and Series 66 licenses required
Life & Variable Annuity licenses required (or ability obtain within Compliance Deadline)
Three to five years or more experience with Retirement or Workplace Benefits plan experience (sales or client centric servicing experience preferred)
Strong technical expertise of Workplace Benefits products (DC, DB, NQDC, Equity, HBS) required, knowledge of competitive landscape preferred
Ability to communicate complex information to a wide variety of personnel in a clear, concise, and well‐organized manner
Strong interpersonal/rapport building skills are required to build relationships with Advisors, Banking Relationship Managers, and prospective clients and to enhance Bank of America’s brand in the Workplace Benefits marketplace.
