This organisation based in South Auckland is well known for providing fluid control and other industrial equipment across the nation. Due to busy operations they are seeking a hands on and experienced Financial Accountant to be a part of their close knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day operations of a business and wants to make a meaningful contribution.
About the role:
This is a full time, office based role. It would suit someone who thrives in a busy collaborative environment. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting business operations, and providing insightful financial reporting to help drive their on - going growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensuring the company meets compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards
- Assist with payroll
- Monitor cash flow and financial controls
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
- Previous similar experience as a Company Accountant/Financial Accountant – ideally 3+ years
- CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification - essential
- Tech savvy and proficient with accounting ERP systems and modern tools
- Highly motivated and a team player
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
