We are seeking a C&I Commercial Loan Officer to develop commercial business, build client relationships, and manage a commercial loan portfolio while identifying growth opportunities and representing the Bank in the community. 

Essential Job Functions

Business Development

• Develops new business within the Bank’s market area and builds referral relationships with professional and community partners. 
• Promotes Bank lending, deposit, and other financial products and services to attract and retain quality clients. 
• Evaluates loan applicants, analyzes financial information, structures and negotiates credit terms, and monitors repayment.

Portfolio Management

• Manages the Commercial loan portfolio, proactively identifying and mitigating risk while ensuring compliance with Bank policies. 
• Partners with Credit and Commercial Administration to prepare loan packages, obtain approvals, coordinate closings, and ensure loan conditions are met. 
• Maintains accurate credit files and ensures timely collection and analysis of annual financial information.

Customer Focus

• Participates in civic, social and community relations activities to promote and strengthen the image of the bank within the Bank’s footprint and reasonable proximity.
• Maintains a high visibility profile for the bank within the business and professional communities at large.

Requirements

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible Commercial Lending and Commercial Banking experience; Bachelor’s degree in business preferred. 
• Formal Commercial Credit and/or Sales training preferred. 
• Strong knowledge of credit structure, bank lending policies, credit risk assessment, and risk management. 
• Strong organizational, planning, time management, and communication skills. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook. 
• Demonstrated professionalism and maturity when working with customers, employees, vendors, and Board members.
