Ironworker

MMI is an industrial and steel company is based in Mesa, Arizona. MMI has been in business since 1974 and continues to grow each year.  This position will be working on our Amkor Project in Peoria, AZ.MMI is looking to hire experienced ironworkers who have at least 3 years of experience in ironworking and welding. Ironworkers are involved in raising, positioning, aligning, and connecting steel girders, columns, beams, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks. Must be able to pass a drug test.Pay depends on experience.Benefits:Health insurance, Dental, Vision, Life401(k)Holiday payPaid time offProfit sharingResponsibilities:Must be able to read, understand and interpret blueprints and specificationsLayout, bolt up, connecting and erecting structural steelInstallation of steel stairs and railings, fences, gates and other misc. metalsFollow company and jobsite safety guidelines, procedures and policiesKnowledge and use of crane hoisting, rigging and signaling (certifications a plus)Welding, torch cutting, arc gouging, grindingMust be certified or able to pass a 3G and 4G weld test (SMAW and FCAW)Operate equipment (scissor lifts, boom lifts, reach forklifts, warehouse forklifts etc.)Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workloadHave own toolsIronworkers must be physically able to:Lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 lbs.Stoop, kneel, crawl, lay, bend, squat, stand and walk for long periods of timeClimb and maintain body balance on ladders, scaffolding or high structures (may exceed 100ft)Work outdoors in all weather conditionsWhy should you apply?MMI has strong reason for existing.
