Summary

Help support the systems behind the work happening across Providence Health Care.Providence Health Care is preparing for an exciting period of growth, including the opening of the new St. Paul’s Hospital in 2027. Behind that work are the systems and technology that help our clinical and operational teams stay connected, work efficiently, and keep things moving every day.

As a Systems Analyst, Business IT Solutions, you’ll be part of the team helping make sure those systems work the way they should. Reporting to the Leader, Business IT Solutions, you’ll support and administer PHC business systems, applications, and related automations, including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other designated systems and services. You’ll work directly with teams across PHC to understand issues, troubleshoot problems, support user access, and respond when something isn’t working as expected. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to system enhancements and upgrades, helping coordinate and implement changes that improve how our teams work. Beyond day-to-day support, you’ll look at system data and workflows to spot anomalies, trends, and potential inefficiencies, helping identify areas that may benefit from a closer operational review.In this role, you will:

• Support and administer business systems, applications, and related automations across PHC
• Work directly with business and clinical teams to provide hands-on technical support
• Troubleshoot system issues, incidents, and user access concerns
• Help plan, coordinate, and implement system enhancements and upgrades
• Follow change management processes and escalate more complex issues when needed
• Monitor system data and workflows to identify anomalies and potential inefficiencies
• Bring forward data variances that may benefit from further operational review
• Help ensure information across supported systems remains accurate, secure, and confidential

What You Bring

Education, Training and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
• Four (4) years recent related experience in an information systems technical environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Experience in providing enterprise support in a complex technology environment and process automation, best practice approach, technology efficiency, and effectiveness is required.

Skills and Abilities

• Expertise in the designated software application(s) and ability in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex applications as a subject matter expert.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting knowledge for technical solutions.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting knowledge on database management, data querying and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated skills in data research, gathering, and business and systems analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze operational problems and recommend innovative solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terminology and to translate business needs into application or systems requirements.
• Administrative experience with Jira, including configuring workflows, permissions, and projects.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.

Your Day to Day

• Coordinate system upgrades, integrations, and performance improvements to help keep enterprise platforms reliable, secure, and running smoothly.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and work with the Leader and technical teams to resolve higher-severity incidents.
• Contribute your technical expertise to complex system decisions and recommend opportunities to improve system reliability, security, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain technical procedures, system documentation, automated workflows, operational resources, and downtime and recovery plans.
• Support client access and authorization requests, ensuring requests are complete, appropriately approved, and addressed in a timely manner.
• Manage incoming service requests, investigate issues, prioritize and assign work, and ensure clients are kept informed through to resolution.
• Create training materials, user guides, FAQs, and other resources, and provide training to help teams confidently use new and existing systems.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and industry best practices, bringing forward ideas and opportunities to continuously improve PHC’s systems and services.
• Administer and maintain Jira, including workflows, permissions, and project configurations.
